Why GTA homeowners keep calling us back
A spec, not a number
Every surface, its coats, its primer, its sheen, in writing, before you commit.
We skip primer when it is pointless
Priming a sound, same-colour wall is just billing you for a third coat.
We swab-test your trim
Pre-2005 trim is usually oil. Waterborne over oil peels within the year.
No scraping untested ceilings
Pre-1990 texture gets lab-tested for asbestos first. Every time.
We turn down bad work
Peeling thermofoil will not hold paint. We say so and lose the job.

From your call to a finished room
- 01
Walkthrough
We measure every room, read the repair history in the walls, and swab-test pre-2005 trim for oil.
- 02
Written finish specification
A document, not a number, every surface, its coats, its primer, its sheen. You approve it first.
- 03
Protection
Floors covered, hardware off, doorways zipped. Rooms we are not painting get sealed, not watched.
- 04
Prep
Fill, sand, vacuum, spot-prime, every wall. Live cracks get taped, not filled, or they reopen in February.
Stuck on colour? That is part of the job.
We bring the deck, test it on your wall, and check it in your light before anyone commits.

Questions we get every week
How much does painting cost in the GTA?
We do not publish prices, because a number quoted without seeing your walls is a guess. What decides the cost is ceiling height, how much trim you have, and the condition of the substrate, none of which can be judged from square footage. The walkthrough is free, takes about 45 minutes, and ends with a fixed written quote.
Do you provide free estimates?
Yes. The walkthrough takes 45 to 60 minutes, costs nothing, and carries no obligation. You receive a written finish specification within 48 hours that names every surface, its coat count, its primer decision and its sheen. We would rather you compared that document against other quotes than compared bottom-line numbers, because three painting quotes are usually three different scopes.
What areas do you serve?
The Greater Toronto Area, the City of Toronto including Etobicoke, North York and Scarborough, plus Peel, York, Durham and Halton regions. That covers Mississauga, Brampton, Vaughan, Markham, Richmond Hill, Oakville, Burlington, Milton, Ajax, Pickering, Whitby, Oshawa, Newmarket and Aurora. If you are inside the GTA, we quote it.
How long does a paint job take?
A single room is one working day. A three-bedroom home with walls, ceilings and trim is three to five days with a crew of two to three. A larger home runs five to eight. Cabinets take five to seven days with the doors sprayed off-site, and exteriors run four to seven days weather permitting. Occupied homes take 15% to 25% longer than empty ones because we stage room by room so you always have somewhere to live.
Do I need to move out?
No. Most of our interior work happens in occupied homes. We stage the job so bedrooms are finished and back in use before we move into living areas, and we specify low- or zero-VOC products so a painted room is re-occupiable the same evening. Tell us at the walkthrough if anyone in the house is pregnant, asthmatic or chemically sensitive and we will schedule around sleeping areas and specify a zero-VOC product with zero-VOC colourant.
What paint do you use?
Premium lines from the major manufacturers, selected per surface rather than per job, a washable matte on walls, a waterborne alkyd on trim, a dead-flat on ceilings, a cabinet-grade urethane or waterborne alkyd on cabinetry, and vapour-permeable coatings on masonry. The specification names the exact product line and sheen for each surface so you know what you are buying, and we leave you the product record for future touch-ups.
